When submitting claim for Parts Stock Action, Use the appropriate 99Z as the s/n, the appropriate Service Letter Program Number as the Part number in the Part Causing Failure field, "7751" as the Group Number, "56" as the Description Code.

PROBLEM
3176, 3196, and C-10/C-12 reman cylinder packs may have been packaged with incorrect (C9) liner seals. If the cylinder packs with incorrect liner seals are installed into the engine block, a coolant leak could occur.
ACTION REQUIRED
0R8189, OR8187, OR8777, 0R8778, 10R1501, 10R1502, 10R2138, 10R5480, and 10R6214 Reman Cylinder Packs need to inspected to insure the proper cylinder liner seal is included with the cylinder pack. The following inspection procedure should be followed to determine if the correct seal is provided.
Obtain a 104-3560 Liner Seal from dealer parts stock to assist with liner seal inspection.
Package Date Code Inspection:
Inspect the package date code on the outside of the cylinder pack box (Image 1) and determine if the date code is between D09M03Y09P68HL and D01M04Y09P68HL (09 March, 2009 and 01 April, 2009).
- If the date code is NOT between D09M03Y09P68HL and D01M04Y09P68HL (09 March, 2009 and 01 April, 2009), mark the box to note that the cylinder pack has been inspected per PI7#### / REBE5157 and return the cylinder pack to Dealer Parts Stock.
- If the date code IS between D09M03Y09P68HL and D01M04Y09P68HL (09 March, 2009 and 01 April, 2009), inspect the liner seal.
Liner Seal Inspection:
Use the 104-3560 Liner Seal obtained from Dealer Parts Stock as a guide. Compare the liner seal from the cylinder pack container to the 104-3560 Liner Seal from dealer parts stock.
- If the liner seals have the same diameter (140.1 mm), the liner seal that was packaged with the cylinder pack is correct. Re-package the liner seal in the cylinder pack, in it's original packaging if removed, indicate on the outside of the package that the cylinder pack has been inspected per PI7#### /REBE5157, and return the cylinder pack to dealer parts stock.
