Coolant leakage can be a problem on 6.25" bore engines when the 5P8607, 5P8664 and 6V2111 Inserts for cylinder liner seats are installed. Use of a new installation method and new liner seat inserts can stop this coolant leakage. This method uses new 1W6265, 1W6266, and 1W6267 Inserts, water ferrules, seals and a new installation procedure.
Tools for installation of inserts.Special Instruction Form SMHS7221-01 has information about the new procedure. Special Instruction Form SMHS7982 is for the installation of the new water ferrules. Dealers must destroy all old instructions about this procedure.
The tools needed for this procedure are now available as shown in the chart.
Two other parts are also available for service repairs of the 5P4175 Counterboring Tool Group. They are the 6V4984 Screw and 6V4985 Cutting Holder Plate.
