B 439-3938 Link Bracket 4 Start bya. Release the System Pressure.b. Remove the Fan Blade (Spider).c. Remove the Radiator Core.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat® products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
At operating temperature, the hydraulic tank is hot and under pressure.Hot oil and components can cause personal injury. Do not allow hot oil or components to contact skin.Remove the filler cap only when the engine is stopped, and the filler cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand. Remove the filler cap slowly in order to relieve pressure.
Note: Put identification marks on the hose assemblies for installation purposes. Plug the hose assemblies. This will help to prevent fluid loss and it will help to keep contaminants from entering the system.

Remove bolts (1) and disconnect hose assembly (2) .

Attach Tooling (B) and a suitable lifting device onto hydraulic oil cooler (7). The weight of hydraulic oil cooler (7) is approximately 71 kg (157 lb).
Remove bolts (5) and bolts (6).
Remove hydraulic oil cooler (7).Installation Procedure
Install hydraulic oil cooler (7) in the reverse order of removal.
