GAUGE A 0090277 - Caterpillar

The batteries give off flammable fumes. Keep any arc, spark or flames away from the batteries so the fumes will not burn with much expansion and force (explode).
1. Lift the seat frame and put a block under it for support. 2. Disconnect cable assemblies (1) and (2) from the batteries.3. Remove cable assemblies (3), (5) and (6) from the batteries.4. Remove frame assembly (4) used to hold the batteries.
Keep the batteries level when they are removed or installed. Do not let the electrolyte solution of the batteries come in contact with the skin or eyes. Electrolyte is an acid.
5. Remove the four batteries from the machine. The weight of each battery is 31 lb. (14 kg). 6. Remove two bolts (7) and two bolts (9) that hold sheet assembly (8). 7. Remove the bolt that holds the fuel line clip to the bottom of sheet assembly (8). Remove sheet assembly (8).Install Batteries And Battery Box
1. Put sheet assembly (1) in position on the machine.2. Install the bolt to hold the fuel line clip to the bottom of sheet assembly (1).3. Install the four bolts to hold sheet assembly (1) in position. 4. Put the four batteries in position and install frame assembly (2) to hold them. 5. Make sure the disconnect switch is in the "OFF" position. Install battery cables (3), (4), (5) (6) and (7).6. Remove the block and lower the seat frame.
