Introduction
The AP600D and the AP655D Asphalt Pavers equipped with the AS4251C are experiencing repeated 254-5092 Circuit Breaker As trips.Problem
Wires from the tamper bar elements are bent over from use or screed maintenance then break due to vibration over time. The broken wires prevent the screed from heating up.Solution

Inspect the wiring at the tamper bar elements.
Use cable straps (5) in order to retain the red wire and the black wire together next to the element.
Straighten the wires at the element and create a loop with the wire.

(X) Hole location should be approximately 90 mm (3.5 inch) from the edge of the frame. (Y) Hole diameter 11 mm (0.44 inch).
Drill a hole in order to mount ladder clip (1) to the extender frame.Note: The existing links support the routing on the mainframe without requiring new ladder clips.

Install ladder clip (1), washers (2), bolt (4), and nut (3). Use cable strap (5) to retain the wires to ladder clip (1) .Note: Disconnect the wiring to prevent wires from bending at the element when performing cleaning or maintenance to the tamper bar element.
Repeat the procedure on the other side of the screed.
