DO NOT USE AIR TOOLS TO REMOVE OR INSTALL BOLTS!
2. Remove one bolt from the filter assembly. See Image1.2.1 for bolt location.
- If the bolt is partially threaded as shown in Image1.2.2, use the following procedure to replace all 8 bolts, one at a time, with new 180-4686 Bolts. Remove one bolt, clean the threaded hole in the 339-3301 filter base with a 8T3087 Tap prior to new bolt installation, apply 243 Loctite to the new 180-4686 Bolt threads, install and tighten each bolt to a torque of 55Nm. Repeat procedure until all 8 bolts have been replaced. No further action is required.
- If the bolt is fully threaded as shown in Image1.2.3, clean the bolt hole with the 8T3087 Tap, apply 243 Loctite to the threads of a new 180-4686 Bolt, install and tighten the bolt to a torque of 55Nm. Proceed to step 3.

3. Check the torque in the tightening direction on the remaining seven 180-4686 Bolts with a click wrench set to 45Nm. See Image1.3.1 for reference on bolt locations.
- If bolt does not move, continue to the next bolt until all bolts have been checked.
- If bolt does move, remove the bolt, clean the bolt hole with the 8T3087 Tap, apply 243 Loctite to the threads of a new 180-4686 Bolt, install and tighten the bolt to a torque of 55Nm. Repeat Step 3 until all bolts have been checked.

Check the torque in the tightening direction on all eight 180-4686 bolts with a click wrench set to 45Nm. See Image2.1.1 for reference on bolt locations.
- If bolt DOES NOT move, continue on to the next bolt until all 8 bolts have been checked.
- If bolt DOES move, remove the bolt, clean the bolt hole with the 8T3087 Tap, apply 243 Loctite to the threads of a new 180-4686 Bolt, install and tighten the bolt to a torque of 55Nm. Repeat torque check until all bolts have been checked.
