Before installation, apply 5P-3413 Pipe Sealant (1) to the 1/8 - 27 NPT external threads that are on the 145-4211 Filter Adapter (2). Install the 145-4211 Filter Adapter to the air cleaner or to the air induction line. Make sure that the 3/8 - 24 external threads point away from the air cleaner or the air induction line. Do not apply the thread sealant to the 3/8 - 24 external threads. Securely tighten the filter adapter.
Install one 7J-0204 O-Ring Seal (3) to the 3/8 - 24 external threads that are on the 145-4211 Filter Adapter that point away from the air cleaner or the air induction line.
Install the 145-4212 Air Filter Change Indicator (4) to the 3/8 - 24 external threads. Tighten the air filter change indicator by hand until contact is made with the base of the fitting. Tighten the air filter change indicator for an additional 90 degrees.Engage at least two of the locking tabs that are on the bottom of the indicator. The locking tabs prevent the air filter change indicator from backing off the 145-4211 Filter Adapter. Do not overtighten the air filter change indicator. Do not use thread sealant on the 3/8 - 24 external threads.
