Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Install the turbocharger gasket on exhaust manifold (21) . Apply Tooling (A) to the threads of the taperlock studs.
Attach a suitable lifting device to turbocharger (14) . The weight of turbocharger (14) is approximately 28 kg (62 lb).Note: Discard the locknuts after use. Use new locknuts for installation.
Install turbocharger (14) on the exhaust manifold. Install locknuts (22) .
Install the O-ring seal on tube assembly (20) . Install the tube assembly on the cylinder block. Install bolts (17) .
Install the O-ring seals on tube assembly (18) . Install the tube assembly in the cylinder block. Install bolts (19) .

Install hose (16) on turbocharger (14) . Tighten hose clamp (15) .
Install hose (12) on turbocharger (14) . Tighten hose clamp (13) .
Fill the cooling system with coolant. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Coolant System Coolant - Change".Rear Mounted Turbocharger

Install hose (11) on turbocharger (1) . Tighten hose clamp (10) .
Install hose (7) on turbocharger (1) . Tighten hose clamp (6) .

Install the O-ring seals on tube assembly (4) . Install the tube assembly in the cylinder block. Position the tube assembly on turbocharger (1) and install bolts (3) .
Install the O-ring seal on tube assembly (5) . Install the tube assembly on the cylinder block. Position the tube assembly on turbocharger (1) and install bolts (2) .
Fill the cooling system with coolant. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Coolant System Coolant - Change".End By:
Install the air lines. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Air Lines - Remove and Install".
Install the exhaust elbow. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Exhaust Elbow - Remove and Install".
