Connect a 40000 kPa (5800 psi) pressure gauge to pressure tap (17) .
Connect a 6000 kPa (870 psi) pressure gauge to pressure tap (18) . This is used to monitor power shift pressure.

Close the valves that are mounted on the end of the stick in order to prevent activation of the work tool.
Start the engine.
Place the machine controls at the following settings: engine speed dial 10 and AEC switch OFF. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Engine Performance - Test - Engine Speed" for the machine for engine rpm settings.
Perform the calibration procedure for engine speed in , "Governor Actuator - Calibrate" for the Tool Control System.
Set the pilot pressure to the specifications that are in Testing and Adjusting, "Relief Valve (Pilot) - Test and Adjust" for the machine.
Warm the hydraulic oil to 50 °C (122 °F).
Set the main relief valve to specifications. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, " Relief Valve (Main) - Test and Adjust" for the machine.
Perform the calibration for the proportional solenoid valve for negative flow control. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "System 3: Solenoid Valve (Proportional Reducing) - Calibrate (Negative Flow Control)" for the Tool Control System.
Calibrate the power shift pressure. Refer to , " Proportional Reducing Valve - Calibrate (Power Shift)" for the Engine and Pump Control System.

Enter service mode. You may follow 14.a through 14.c or you may refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Service Mode - Enter" for the Tool Control System.
Press menu key (6) .Note: After 30 seconds when no keys are pushed, the menu is cancelled. The previous display is restored to message display (A) .
Press down key (2) in order to highlight the menu item "SERVICE OPTIONS" on line 4 of the message display. Press OK key (I) .
Input the password "FFF2". Press left key (3) or right key (4) in order to change the position of the flashing character. Press up key (1) or press down key (2) in order to change the value of the flashing character. Press OK key (8) after the correct password is displayed. The service mode is active.
Press down key (2) in order to highlight the menu item "SWITCH STATUS" on the message display.
Press right key (4) repeatedly until "DEVICE TEST" appears on the message display.
Press down key (2) in order to move down one line on the message display.
Press right key (4) until the "PS PRV - FIXED" appears on the message display.
Press down key (2) .
Press OK key (8) . The display on line 4 of the message display will now change to a number. These characters represent the power shift pressure (kPa).
Press left key (3) or right key (4) in order to increase or decrease the number that is displayed on line 4 of the display to "2900". Pressing left key (3) one time
