Install tool (A) and tool (B) in the opening for each drain valve.
Install the tool (C) on tool (D) and connect the tool (E) to the air tank(s) and the test pressure gauges.
Start the engine and allow the air pressure to increase to the maximum pressure.
Read the cutout pressure on the test pressure gauge that is connected to the left section of the air tank.
Depress the service brake control (pedal) and release the pedal several times. Perform this action rapidly.

(6) Air compressor. (7) Air compressor governor.Note: Orientation of the air compressor governor will depend on your specific engine arrangement.
The correct cut-in pressure is 790 70 kPa (115 10 psi). The correct cutout pressure is 965 34 kPa (140 5 psi).If necessary, make the following adjustment to the air compressor governor:
Illustration 4 g01351983
Remove cover (8) from the top of air compressor governor (7) .
Loosen the locknut on the adjustment screw.
Turn the adjustment screw counterclockwise in order to raise the cut-in pressure.
Turn the adjustment screw clockwise in order to lower the cutout pressure.
If the adjustment screw does not change the cutout pressure, the unloading valves in the air compressor are operating incorrectly.
If the difference to the cut-in pressure to the cutout pressure is incorrect, the air compressor governor is operating incorrectly.
