Release the pressure in the hydraulic system. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly Manual, "System Pressure - Release".
Remove the felling head. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Felling Head - Remove".Note: Put identification marks on all lines, on all hoses, on all wires, and on all tubes for installation purposes. Plug all lines, hoses, and tubes. This helps to prevent fluid loss and this helps to keep contaminants from entering the system.Note: SERVICE DATA: TOOLING (ZZ) WILL NOT BE IDENTIFIED IN PHOTOGRAPHS IN THE REMOVAL OR THE INSTALLATION. THIS TOOLING IS SHOWN IN ORDER TO ASSIST THE EXPERIENCED SERVICEMAN.
Lower the boom until the boom cylinder is fully retracted. Lower the stick to the ground.

Attach a suitable lifting device to stick cylinder (3). Remove pin (5) in order to disconnect stick cylinder (3). Disconnect belt (2). Remove nut (4) and washers from stick (7). Disconnect hose assemblies (6) from stick (7). Attach a suitable lifting device to stick (7).

Attach a suitable lifting device to Tooling (A). Remove plate (8). Remove pin (9).

Disconnect clips (10). Disconnect hose assembly (11) from the stick. Disconnect harness assembly (12) from the back of the lights. The connector (13) that is located on the back of the light assembly must be disassembled before the harness assembly can be removed from the stick. Remove harness assembly (12) from the stick.
Slowly lower stick (7) to the ground. the weight of stick (7) is 1225 kg (2700 lb).
