Hydraulically Controlled Hood

This machine is equipped with two hydraulically controlled hoods. The hoods are located on each side of the machine. A switch is used in order to control the operation of both hoods.Early models

Switch (1) operates the hood. Switch (1) is located inside the right armrest. The following serial numbers have this arrangement: 202 1-193, 301 1-261 and 302 1-338.
Open hood - Pull switch (1) toward you in order to open the hood.
Close Hood - Push switch (1) away from you in order to close the hood. Later Models

Switch (21) operates the hood. Switch (21) is located on the right console. The following serial numbers have this arrangement: 202 225-UP, 301 325 -UP and 302 425-UP.
Open hood - Push the top of the switch in order to open the hood.
Close Hood - Push the bottom of the switch in order to close the hood. Opening the hood with no electrical power
Use the following procedure in order to open the hood if there is no electrical power.
Remove three bolts in order to open the access door on the right side of the machine.
Connect the appropriate jump start cable to the auxiliary jump start receptacle on the stalled machine.
Enter the cab and turn the ignition key to the ON position.
Operate the switch for the hood in order to open the hood.
