Information:
Paging functions have been added to the UPS. The system must have an internal modem or an external modem. An adapter board is required for the external modem. The system must have UPS View software. Configuration of the Modem
Connect an analog telephone line to the Modem Jack that is located on the lower left hand corner of the System I/O Module.Note: The System I/O Module is located on the panel in the lower left hand corner. See Installation, "Interfaces" in the operation section of this manual.
In the UPS View application, select "Enter Password" menu option in order to view the "Enter User Name / Password" dialog box.

Enter a valid "User Name" and enter a valid "Password". After the password has been entered, the menu option will change. The menu bar will now contain a "Op. Params." option.
Select "Op. Group 6: Disable Auto Start / Modem Enable".
Set the "Operating Parameter Modem Enable" to "1" and press "Send".
Select the "Op. Group 6: Disable Auto Start / Modem Enable" from the "Op. Params." pull-down menu.
Select the type of the modem that is being installed from the following list. Enter the value for the type of Modem and press "Send".

Press "Control R". Press "Y" in order to reset the UPS.
With the UPS View application, initialize the internal NVRAM for the modem by entering "Control-Q" after the UPS resets. After the NVRAM has been initialized, the screen should show the current settings for the modem. If the screen displays "Modem Error - Modem not responding", enter the "Control-Q" again. If the modem does not respond, check the cables and check the power supplies.
