Information:
After you install the work tool onto the host machine, raise the work tool to the transport position. Move the host machine to an open area. Adjust the engine to a LOW IDLE position. While the work tool is off the ground, verify that all of the work tool functions are operational from the host machine.Operating Techniques
Raise the work tool in the transport position. Move the host machine to the work area.
After install the work tool on to the host machine, set the engine to LOW IDLE.
Gradually increase the engine speed to HIGH IDLE.Note: Always operate the engine at HIGH IDLE when you are cutting with the work tool.Bucket Operation
Bucket Loading
Illustration 1 g06307664
Typical example
When loading bucket, drive straight into material, with bucket floor level. Attempting to turn tractor while loading bucket can cause damage to both loader and tractor.
To best utilize bucket capacity, roll bucket back and at the same time lift the loader.Discharging
Illustration 2 g06307698
Typical example
Position bucket so conveyer belt is level to floor.
Raise bucket to desired height and get positioned before engaging hydraulics.
Make sure bystanders are standing clear of discharge path as stray particles are a serious hazard.
It may be necessary to cycle tilt cylinder back and forth to prevent bridging in bucket during discharge.
Discharge “range” is controlled using engine RPM and lift height.
Discharge “rate” is controlled with a sliding gate on each end of bucket (adjust manually for desired rate).Joystick and Auxiliary Hydraulic Controls (BD118 and BD121) (All series of SSL)
Note: The joystick controls are listed below. Your machine may not be equipped with the joysticks or all of the controls on the joysticks that are shown below . Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual of the host machine for details on Skid Steer Loader controls and operation.

After the rotary cutter has been turned OFF, the rotary cutter will continue to rotate for some time, due to inertia. Allow the rotary cutter to come to a complete stop before proceeding.
Removal Of Obstructions From Work Tool
Note: When an obstruction prevents the work tool from operating, use the following procedure. If the work tool becomes obstructed, first attempt to remove the obstruction by operating the work tool in the REVERSE direction. Once the obstruction has been removed, operate the work tool in the FORWARD direction.
Do not use an auxiliary override with this work tool. The work tool can be fully powered even if the arm bar is raised and the operator has exited the cab.Severe injury or death could occur.Do not exit the cab until the work tool and the host machine have been shutdown and the parking brake is engaged.
Personal injury can result from hydraulic oil pressure and hot oil.Hydraulic oil pressure can remain in the hydraulic system after the engine has been stopped. Serious injury can be caused if this pressure is not released before any service is done on the hydraulic system.Make sure all of the work
