The solenoid coil comes with a connector that must be removed and replaced with a Sure-Seal® connector. Use the following parts and procedure:
Illustration 1. Connector (1). Before cutting any wires from connector (1), identify each wire with a wire marker, with the same identification that is on connector (1).1. Remove connector (1) that comes on the 1G5980 Solenoid. Cut the wires as close to the connector as possible to leave the wires as long as possible. Trim all of the wires to equal length.

Connect wire (B) to socket 4 of the Sure-Seal® connector.4. Connect wire (C) to socket 3 of the Sure-Seal® connector.5. Connect wire (D) to pin 1 of the Sure-Seal® connector.
