The implement ECM software may disable the function of AccuGrade® or third party grade control systems which use communication with the implement ECM over the J1939 CAN bus to control the lift and tilt of the blade. The AccuGrade grade control systems are disabled when using 497-0478 Implement Software Gp. The 505-0040 Implement Software Gp addresses the problem for AccuGrade grade control systems, but not for third party grade control systems. The third party grade control systems may be disabled when using 497-0478 Implement Software Gp or 505-0040 Implement Software Gp.Solution
As a permanent solution for the machines with AccuGrade grade control systems, upgrade to 505-0040 Implement Software Gp which is the latest software part number in SIS web. As an interim solution for third party grade control systems, downgrade the implement software to 463-8351 Implement Software GpNote: The 463-8351 Implement Software Gp is not compatible with D6T and D7E Track Type Tractors with new 455-9580 Electronic Control Module (Implement A5M4 V2 ECM hardware) installed on the machine starting in first quarter of 2016 on the machine serial numbers that are listed below:
