Locate the alarm as (5) behind the seat. Refer to Illustration 4.Note: If the alarm as (5) has already been removed then skip steps 7 through 8.

Remove the following parts: bolt (7), hard washer (8), bolt (4), alarm as (5), plate (9) and boss (6). Discard all parts that were removed in step 8. Refer to Illustration 5.
Replace the terminals of the harness (10) with a 155-2270 Connecting Plug Kit . Connect the harness (10) to the panel harness (3). Refer to Illustration 3.

Route the panel harness (3) through the platform. Refer to Illustration 6.Secure the panel harness (3) to the alarm harness (11) with 3S-2093 Cable Straps .

Remove plate (D) and remove plate (E) in order to route the panel harness (3) through the tilt system. Refer to Illustration 7.
Route the panel harness (3) along the existing alarm harness (11) which lead to the battery and wiring group.

Connect the solenoid harness (13) to the panel harness (3). Refer to Illustration 11.
Install plate (D) and install plate (E).
Install cover (A), cover (B), and cover (C).
Connect the battery to the electrical system.
Perform a functional test of the vertical tilt alarm. Refer to the 325D UHD Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU8066 for detailed test instructions.Refer to the 330D UHD Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU8072 for detailed test instructions.
