Install brake actuator mounting bracket (20) and nuts (16) .
Install brake camshaft (18) .
Install parking brake actuator lever (19) and bolt (17). Tighten bolt (17) finger tight.

Typical Example
Install plate assembly (15), bolts and washers (14). The torque for bolts (14) is 300 40 N m (220 30 lb ft).Make corrections, as follows. Service Manual Module, SENR1381-02, "Power Train Disassembly and Assembly", "Parking Brake - Remove and Install" on page 71 and Service Manual Module, SENR1392-03, "Machine Systems Disassembly and Assembly", "Parking Brake - Remove and Install" on page 88.Note: The corrections that follow are applicable to both of the service manual modules.

Install brake drum (4) .

Measure the distance that is represented by dimension (A). If the distance does not equal 56 15 mm (2.2 .6 inch), remove bolt (17). Index parking brake actuator lever (19) in order to achieve dimension (A). Install bolt (17). Tighten bolt (17) to a torque of 55 10 N m (40 7 lb ft).

Connect yoke assembly (2) to the parking brake actuator lever. Install clevis pin (1) .
To adjust the parking brake, rotate the brake adjuster until the brake drum cannot be rotated by hand. Then, back off the brake adjuster by six clicks.
Install bolts and washers (3). Torque for the eight bolts is 105 20 N m (75 15 lb ft).Note: If the brake shoes were replaced, the brake shoes must be burnished. In order to burnish the brake shoes, make three successive stops from third speed forward at maximum speed. Allow the parking brake to cool to ambient temperature after the third stop.Reference: For additional information on adjusting the parking brake, refer to the Service Manual module Testing and Adjusting, "Parking Brake Actuator - Adjust" for the machine that is being serviced.
