Personal injury or death can result from grease and oil coming out of the relief valve.Grease and oil are under high pressure coming out of the relief valve and can penetrate the body.Do not watch the relief valve to see if grease is escaping. Watch the track or track adjustment cylinder to see if the track is being loosened. Make sure the vent holes are clean before the tension is released on the track.
Release the track tension. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Track Adjustment - Adjust" for the correct procedure.

Attach a suitable lifting device through the opening in the track assembly to track carrier roller (2), as shown. The weight of track carrier roller (2) is approximately 64 kg (140 lb).
Use Tooling (A) to raise the track assembly.
Remove bolts (1) and track carrier roller (2).
Refer to Undercarriage Reconditioning Bulletin, SEBF8568, "Hydraulic Excavator Roller Disassembly and Assembly Procedures" for the disassembly and assembly procedures for the track carrier roller.Installation Procedure
Install track carrier roller (2) in the reverse order of removal.
