962G (7BW, 3BS)THIS TIB REPLACES THE OCTOBER 15, 1999 MEDIUM WHEEL LOADERS TIB, "COOLANT LEAK ON RADIATOR TOP TANK" DESTROY THE OCTOBER 15, 1999 TIB. IT WILL NOT APPEAR IN THE SEMI-ANNUAL INDEX.Problem:
A coolant leak may occur at the weld of Filler Neck on Radiator Top Tank. Solution:
The Radiator Top Tanks have been changed to a ticker top plate to improve filler neck weld fatigue strength.On standard machines, Tank As - Top 1196286 is replaced by 1608177.On Low Sound machines, 1504975 & 1688535 are replaced by 1451898.The new Radiator Top Tanks can be used in place of the old ones.938G (6WS1880 - UP)IT38G (1CW367 - UP)950G (5FW1172 - UP ; 2JS827 - UP)962G (7BW499 - UP ; 3BS530 - UP)It is also possible to rework field machines without replacing the Top Tank. You have to replace the current Neck by the 1513015 Neck Assembly. This new Neck stiffens the tank top and moves the solder joint out of the plane of flexing.
