Remove the turbochargers.
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Disconnect the exhaust system from exhaust elbow (2).
Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to exhaust elbow (2). For 3508 Engines and 3512 Engines, the weight of exhaust elbow (2) is approximately 25 kg (55 lb). For 3516 Engines, the weight of exhaust elbow (2) is approximately 45 kg (100 lb).
Remove bolts (1), if necessary.
Remove bolts (3) and exhaust elbow (2).
Remove bolts (5) and bracket (4). Installation Procedure
Install exhaust elbow (2) in the reverse order of removal.
