Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Compressor housing must go straight on the turbocharger assembly without tilting. Tilting may cause compressor blade to tip, or the compressor shaft can be damaged.
Put an alignment mark on the new turbocharger cartridge in the same location as the old turbocharger cartridge.

Position turbine housing (4) on Tooling (A).
Align the marks and connect turbocharger cartridge (5) onto turbine housing (4). Install clamp assembly (2) and tighten to a torque of 14.0 1.5 N m (124 13 lb in). Tap the clamp assembly lightly with a hammer. Tighten the clamp assembly again to a torque of 14.0 1.5 N m (124 13 lb in).
Rotate the turbocharger cartridge in order to ensure that the turbocharger cartridge does not contact the turbine housing.
Align the marks and connect compressor housing (3) to turbocharger cartridge (5). Install clamp assembly (1) and tighten to a torque of 14.0 1.5 N m (124 13 lb in). Tap the clamp assembly lightly with a hammer. Tighten the clamp assembly again to a torque of 14.0 1.5 N m (124 13 lb in).
Rotate the turbocharger cartridge in order to ensure that the turbocharger cartridge does not contact the compressor housing. End By:
Install the turbocharger.
