PRODUCT SUPPORT PROGRAM FOR TURBOCHARGER COMPRESSOR WHEEL FAILURES IN 992C LOADERS, 1052, PS4054 U-34 A-20 AU-28 B-3 C-33 E-29 O-28 This Program can be administered either before or after a failure. In either case the decision whether to apply the Program is made by the dealer. When reporting the repair, use "PS4054" as Part Number and "7755" as Group Number. Termination Date

Problem
Some of the 7N8190 (Compressor) Wheels used in the turbochargers on 992C Loaders have failed. This has been a problem mainly under conditions of heavy cycling of turbochargers to high wheel speeds. High wheel speeds are caused by high altitude, high engine load and restricted air inlet systems. A new compressor wheel is now used in production.

Action Required
Action is required only when other preventive maintenance work is being done on the turbocharger or if there has been a failure. For before failure repair, first inspect the name plate on the turbocharger. If 7C0353 is stamped on the name plate, the turbocharger has the new 7W9144 Wheel. Install the new 7W9144 Wheel using the procedures in the Service Manual. If the original turbocharger is a 1W9571 or 1W9572, stamp "7C0353" on the name plate. The new compressor wheel can be identified by the part number 7W9144 and by a line under the "A".
