793C (4GZ) Off-Highway TrucksDescription of Change: The new hoist pump has new internal improvement/design changes which will reduce the possibility of cavitation and provide longer service life.Adaptable To: The new 171-8892 Hoist Pump is a direct replacement for the former 153-9509 Hoist Pump (canceled). The 171-8892 Hoist Pump is effective with 793C (4GZ1-Up), and adaptable to 793C (4AR1-Up). The new 171-8892 Hoist Pump is not to be used on 793 (3SJ) and 793B (1HL) Trucks. These systems are designed for 17300 kPa (2510.9 psi) pressure and the hydraulic components in these systems cannot withstand the 20,370 kPa (2956.6 psi) pressure. It is not recommended to attempt to rebuild or convert the former 153-9509 Pump Group using components from the new 171-8892 Pump Group.
