start by: a) remove planetary carrier assemblies1. Lift the machine until weight is off tire. Put stands or blocks under machine. Put a block under tire to support tire during removal of ring gear and hub. 2. Remove lockwire from bolts (1).3. Remove the bolts (1) and lock (2). 4. Use tool setup (A) to loosen nut (3). Remove the tool setup and nut (3).5. Install a 3/8"-16NC forged eyebolt in hub.6. Fasten a hoist and remove the ring gear and hub of the final drive. Weight of ring gear and hub is 65 lb. (30 kg). 7. Remove eyebolt. Install two 3/8" - 16NC forcing screws (4) and remove the bearing cone from the other side of hub.Install Final Drive Ring Gears And Hubs
1. Heat the bearing cone (1) in oil to a maximum temperature of 275°F (135°C), and install it on the hub.2. Install a 3/8"-16NC forged eyebolt in the hub. 3. Fasten a hoist and put the ring gear and hub of the final drive into position.4. Install the nut on spindle housing.5. Use tool setup (A) to make an adjustment to the wheel bearings as follows: a) Tighten the nut (4) slowly to a torque of 550 50 lb.ft. (76,1 6,9 mkg) while turning the wheel and tire.b) Put the lock (3) in position on nut. Turn the nut to the next slot until the holes in lock are in alignment with holes in hub.c) After the nut is in alignment, the final torque on nut should be 650 150 lb.ft. (89,9 20,7 mkg).d) Install the four bolts (2) that hold lock in place. Install the lockwire on bolts.6. Remove the stands or blocks from under the machine.end by: a) install planetary carrier assemblies
