Position a suitable container under brake tank (1) in order to contain the hydraulic oil for storage or disposal. The capacity of the brake tank (1) is approximately 4 L (1.06 US gal).
Disconnect two hose assemblies (2) and (3) from brake tank (1) .

Disconnect two hose assemblies (4) and (5) from brake tank (1) .

Remove two bolts (6) and the washers that hold brake tank (1) to the frame assembly.

Position brake tank (1) on a suitable work bench, as shown. Remove O-ring plug (8) from filter cover (7). Remove elbow (10) from brake tank (1) .
Remove bolt (9) that holds filter cover (7) to brake tank (1). Remove filter cover (7) from brake tank (1) .

Remove O-ring seal (11) from O-ring plug (10). Remove stud gasket (14) from bolt (9). Remove gasket (12) from filter cover (7).
Remove O-ring seal (15) from elbow (10). Remove pipe plug (16) from elbow (10) .
Remove two O-ring plugs (13) and the O-rings from brake tank (1) .Installation Procedure
Verify that all of the components are clean and free of foreign material prior to installation. Inspect all of the O-rings and the components for wear and replace the O-rings and the components, if necessary.
Lubricate all O-ring seals with the lubricant that is being sealed.

Install two O-ring plugs (13) and the O-rings to brake tank (1) .
Install O-ring seal (15) to elbow (10). Install pipe plug (16) to elbow (10) .
Install gasket (12) to filter cover (7). Install stud gasket (14) to bolt (9). Install O-ring seal (11) to O-ring plug (10) .

Position filter cover (7) to brake tank (1), as shown. Install bolt (9) that holds filter cover (7) to brake tank.
Install plug (8) to filter cover (7). Install elbow (10) to brake tank (1) .

Position brake tank (1) to the frame assembly, as shown. Install two bolts (6) and the washers that hold brake tank (1) to the frame assembly.

Connect two hose assemblies (4) and (5) to brake tank (1) .

Connect two hose assemblies (2) and (3) to brake tank (1) .
Fill brake tank (1) with hydraulic oil. The capacity of brake tank (1) is approximately 4 L (1.06 US gal).
Fill the hydraulic tank with hydraulic oil. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hoist, Torque Converter and Brake Tank Oil - Change" for the correct procedure.
Personal injury or death can result from air in the oil for the brake hydraulic system.Air in the system can prevent complete brake application and it is possible that the wheels on the machine can not be stopped.Air must not be in the oil for the brake hydraulic system to function properly.
Purge the air from the hydraulic oil in the brake hydraulic system. Refer to Air System and Brake, Systems Operation,Testing and Adjusting, "Brake System Air - Purge" for the correct procedure.End By:
