Perform the following procedure:

Prior to inspecting the electronic thermostat, remove connector (2) to disconnect power to the controller module.

Component breakdown for inspection of the electronic thermostat for moisture entry
(1) Motor cover
(2) Control module
(3) Motor group
(4) Motor mount assembly
Remove the four bolts from motor cover (1). Remove the cover from the motor group.
Disconnect the connector from control module (2). Remove the mounting bolts, washers, and spacers from the control module. Remove the control module from the electronic thermostat.
Remove the four bolts and washers from motor (3). Remove the motor from motor mount assembly (4).
Visually inspect the motor housing for moisture entry, corrosion, and rust. Turn the armature of the motor to ensure that the motor turns freely. If moisture entry, corrosion, or rust is found inside the motor housing, or if the motor does not turn freely, replace the motor. Perform steps 4 through 2 to assemble the electronic thermostat and motor assembly.
