Refer to the Service Manual as necessary and seethe Service Magazine article "New Bracket And Clamp Arrangement For SupportOf The Battery Cables, Wire Harness, And The Heater Hose On Machines EquippedWith A Cab." Follow this procedure to rework machines.If either heater hose shows signs of beingcracked or brittle the hose should be replaced. Use 279 cm of 136-1953Bulk 5/8 Heater Hose, for each hose. Splicing in a new section of hoseis also allowed. Cut the damaged hose 2-3 inches back from the damagedarea and add a new section of hose from there to the engine block connection.Use a suitable automotive type hose connector to connect the new hose tothe existing undamaged hose. Secure with two 8T0154 Hose Clamps.OWNER NOTIFICATION
