Introduction
This Special Instruction is intended to show the correct procedure for installing the injectors in the cylinder head.Removing the Injector from the Cylinder Head
Remove the injector from the cylinder head.
Clean the outside of the injector. Also, clean the injector sleeve that is inside of the cylinder head.Note: Do not machine the sleeve or replace the sleeve at this point in the procedure.Installing the Injector in the Cylinder Head
Refer to the Tool Operating Manual, NEHS0738 in order to install the injector back into the cylinder head.
Make sure that the bolt that holds the injector down is torqued once the injector has been seated in the cylinder head. Note: Do not reuse the hold down bolts for the injector.
