Drive the machine to a smooth, horizontal surface.

Move propulsion lever (1) to the NEUTRAL position.

Move parking brake switch (2) to the ON position.

Move throttle lever (3) to the LOW IDLE position. Low idle should be 1060 35 rpm.

Move engine start switch (4) to the OFF position.
Block the drums with appropriate devices in order to ensure that the machine will not move.
Assemble Tool (A). Assemble Tool (B). Connect Tool (A) to Tool (B). Make two sets of tools.

Unhook latch (5) on the rear of the engine compartment. Open the engine compartment.

Install hood prop rod (6) .

Remove cap (7) from forward pressure tap (8) .
Connect one Tool (B) to forward pressure tap (8) .
Remove cap (9) from reverse pressure tap (10) .
Connect one Tool (B) to reverse pressure tap (10) .
Move engine start switch (4) to the START position. Release the switch when the engine starts.
Operate the engine at low idle for a few minutes.
Move throttle lever (3) to the HIGH IDLE 2 position. High idle 2 should be 3025 25 rpm.
Monitor the hydraulic oil temperature with Tool (C). Operate the machine until the oil temperature reaches 43 5.6 °C (110 10 °F).
Read the pressure on the gauges. If the pressure is equal, go to Step 23. If the pressure is not equal, go to Step 19.

Loosen locknut (11). Watch the pressure on the gauges. Rotate adjustment screw (12) until the pressure is equal on both gauges.Note: This adjustment mechanism is located on the side of the propel pump.
Rotate adjustment screw (12) clockwise until pressure at reverse tap (10) just begins to increase. Note the angular position of the wrench.
Rotate adjustment screw (12) counterclockwise until pressure at forward tap (8) just begins to increase. Note the angular position of the wrench.
Rotate adjustment screw (12) to the center of the two positions noted above. Hold the adjustment screw in place, and tighten locknut (11) .Note: Make sure that the pressure does not change when locknut (11) is tightened.
Move throttle control lever (3) to the LOW IDLE position. Low idle should be 1060 35 rpm.
Move engine start switch (4) to the OFF position.
Remove the tooling and close the engine compartment.
