Remove Expansion Tank
1. Drain the coolant from the engine.2. Disconnect the water line from the water temperature regulator housing. 3. Remove tube (3).4. Disconnect hose (1) from the filler neck. Remove the bolts that hold filler neck (2) to the expansion tank, and remove the filler neck and gasket. 5. Remove the bolt that holds clamp (4) to the expansion tank.6. Remove the two bolts that hold adapter (5) to the water regulator housing. 7. Remove four bolts (7), and disconnect elbow (6) from the expansion tank. 8. Fasten a hoist and tooling (A) to the expansion tank. Remove four bolts (9), and remove expansion tank (8) from the engine. The weight of the expansion tank is 43 kg (95 lb.).Install Expansion Tank
1. Fasten a hoist and tooling (A) to expansion tank (1). Put the expansion tank in position on the engine, and install the four bolts that hold it. 2. Put the gasket and elbow (2) in position on the expansion tank, and install four bolts (3). 3. Put clamp (4) in position on the expansion tank, and install the bolt that holds it.4. Put the gasket and adapter (5) in position on the water regulator housing, and install bolts (6). 5. Install the gasket and filler neck (8) on the expansion tank. Connect hose (7) to the filler neck.6. Install tube (9).7. Connect the water line to the water temperature regulator.8. Fill the cooling system with coolant to the correct level.
