Status Screens
A series of screens inform the operator about the current status of the system. The display returns to a status screen after an operation with the keypad is completed and after the "F4" key is pressed.
"F4" key - The "F4" key is an exit key.
Illustration 1 g00782531
"AUTO-STOPPED" - For applications that use the speed sensor, the control determines that the engine is stopped when the engine speed is below 300 rpm and the inlet manifold pressure is in a range between 80 and 120 kPa. For applications that do not use the speed sensor, the control determines that the engine is stopped when the inlet manifold pressure falls below 120 kPa (absolute pressure). The "AUTO-STOPPED" message is displayed. The upper right corner of the screen displays the amount of time that remains until power is removed from the oxygen buffer. "0s" indicates that zero seconds remain and the power to the buffer is OFF. The fuel valve is moved to the position for starting of automatic control. In this case, the position is 1000 steps.
Illustration 2 g00782537
"AUTO-WARMUP" - For applications that use the speed sensor, the control determines that the engine is running when the engine speed is greater than 300 rpm and the inlet manifold pressure is less than 80 kPa. For applications that do not use the speed sensor, the control determines that the engine is running when the inlet manifold pressure is greater than 120 kPa. The "AUTO-WARMUP" message is displayed. The message indicates that the engine is running and that the oxygen sensor is proceeding with the 120 second warm-up. The elapsed seconds of the warm-up period are displayed in the upper right corner of the screen. During the warm-up, the fuel valve remains in the position for starting of automatic control.
Illustration 3 g00848710
"AUTO" delay - This message indicates that the oxygen sensor is heated and automatic control can begin after the delay has expired. The percent of exhaust oxygen is displayed in the upper right corner. The fuel valve remains in the position that is determined by the control during this mode.
Illustration 4 g00782594
"AUTO-IDLE" - This message is displayed when the oxygen sensor is ready and the engine is running. However, automatic control is inhibited because the engine is not loaded. For automatic control, the engine speed must be greater than 1000 rpm and the inlet manifold pressure must exceed the "AUTO-IDLE" setting by 20 kPa. The control will revert to "AUTO-IDLE" if the engine speed is below 1000 rpm or the inlet manifold pressure falls below the "AUTO-IDLE" setting. The position of the fuel valve does not change during this mode.
Illustration 5 g00782480
"AUTO" - This message indicates that the control is controlling the air/fuel ratio. In Illustration 5, "9.15" is the target value for the exhaust oxygen. "9.10%" is the measured percent of exhaust oxygen. The target value may change due to the signals from the inlet manifold pressure sensor and the speed sensor (if equipped). The control continuously strives to achieve the target value for
