A 395-1592 Lifting Eye Assembly 2 Start By:
Remove the starting motors. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Air Starting Motor - Remove" or Disassembly and Assembly, "Electric Starting Motor - Remove and Install".
Remove the manual barring group. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Manual Barring Group - Remove and Install".
Remove the camshaft drive gears. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Camshaft Drive Gear - Remove".
Remove the crankshaft rear gear. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Crankshaft Rear Gear - Remove".
Remove the fuel filter housing. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Fuel Filter Housing - Remove".
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Remove cover (1).
Remove guard assembly (2), guard assembly (4), and plate assembly (3).

Remove tube assemblies (5) and (6). Disconnect harness assembly (7).

(9) 3/4 inch bolts
(10) 1/2 inch bolts
(11) 5/8 inch bolts
Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to rear housing (8). The weight of rear housing (8) is approximately 455 kg (1000 lb).
Remove bolts (12) that hold the engine oil pan to rear housing (8).
Remove bolts (9), bolts (10), and bolts (11) that hold rear housing (8) to the cylinder block.
Remove rear housing (8), the gasket, and the O-ring seals from the cylinder block.
