Chart A is for D9L and D10N Tractors and Chart B is for D11N Tractors. Use the appropriate Reference as a guide for the disassembly and assembly required to install for this modification.The former 4Z8334 Cover can be modified as shown in Illustration 3. Install a 3H0122 Grease Fitting in the modified chart.

Illustration 4. Dimensions for modifying 4Z8398 Cover.Add slots (grooves) to seal assemblies (6) and (7) as shown in Illustration 5. The slots will help allow the pivot shaft joint to be greased.
Illustration 5. Location and dimensions for slots to be machined in seal assemblies.Install the new bronze bearings in the beam assembly. Put 1P0808 All-Purpose Grease on the bearings after installation.
When assembling the pivot shaft joint, DO NOT install seals (4), (5), and (8). This will help allow the joint to be greased. Pump 1P0808 All-Purpose Grease into fitting (9) on each cover (3).
