Personal injury or death can result from high voltage.When power generation equipment must be in operation to make tests and/or adjustments, high voltage and current are present.Improper test equipment can fail and present a high voltage shock hazard to its user.Make sure the testing equipment is designed for and correctly operated for high voltage and current tests being made.When servicing or repairing electric power generation equipment: Make sure the unit is off-line (disconnected from utility and/or other generators power service), and either locked out or tagged DO NOT OPERATE. Make sure the generator engine is stopped. Make sure all batteries are disconnected. Make sure all capacitors are discharged. To avoid personal injury, always remain clear of the the engine when the engine is in the AUTOMATIC mode. Power source must be disconnected before working on equipment. Failure to disconnect power source could result in injury or death. If batteries are located on both sides of the package, the warning label is located on both sides of the package. Batteries give off flammable fumes which can explode.To avoid injury or death, do not strike a match, cause a spark, or smoke in the vicinity of a battery. (9) Lifting Illustration 12 g00524148 The warning label for lifting is located on the base near the lifting holes. Improper lift rigging can allow unit to tumble causing injury and damage. 1. Use an adequate spreader bar because the center of gravity is above the base lifting points.2. Attach four properly rated chains from the base lifting holes to the spreader bar.3. Adjust the chain lengths in order to position the spreader bar over the center symbol for level lift.4.
