(6) Remove hood (19). Put 5G2516 Liner (20) in the center position on the inside of the hood. Use liner (20) as a guide to put marks on the hood. Remove the liner and tack weld eight 8D3508 Bosses (21) in position on the marks. Make 3.0 (.12") fillet welds all around each boss. Install liner (20) with S509 Bolts (22) and two flat washers. Install the hood. (7) Remove grill assembly (23) and rear flood lights (24). If the machine is equipped with back up lights and/or back up alarm, remove and keep them. (8) Assemble tube (25), 9L9132 and 5P1075 Washers (26), S1588 Bolts (27) and the nuts through plates (28) and the brackets on guard assembly (29). Put guard (29) in position on radiator guard (30) as shown. Tack weld plates (28) to the radiator guard. Guard (29) must fit tightly against radiator guard (30). Make 3.0 (.12)" fillet welds along each side of plates (28). (9) Install anchor (31) on latch (32) with pin (33). Put latch (32) in bracket (34). Put tension on latch (32) and tack weld anchor (31) to radiator guard (30). Disconnect and remove latch (32). Make 3.0 (.12") fillet welds along each side of anchor (31). (10) Install liner (35) in each side of guard (29) as shown. Install plate (36) with bolts and flat washers. Connect latch (32) to anchor (31) with pin (33) and the cotter pin. (11) Install rear floodlights (24) or the back up light and install the back up alarm (if so equipped) on the top of guard (29). Connect the black and pink wire to the back up alarm and to the respective terminal on the machine wiring harness. Connect the blue and pink wires to the rear floodlights or to the back up lights. Use 8F539 Screw (37) and 4B2043 Nut to connect the other end of the blue and pink wire to the respective terminal on the machine wiring harness. Install clips (38) where the former grill assembly was removed.5G2355
This arrangement cannot be installed on machines that are equipped with 5G2340 or 5G2338 Piston Hydraulic Pumps or 5G596 Air Conditioner Arrangements.(1) Remove hood (1) and both engine side panels (2). (2) Use S509 Bolts, 5P1075 Washers and 314433 Washers to fasten: 5G1446 Liner (3) on 5G1335 Panel Assembly (4) (L.H.); 6S8093 Liner (5) on 6S9639 Panel Assembly (6) (R.H.); and 6S8074 Liner (7) in 6S8185 Hood Assembly (8). Install 6S9668 Spring (9) on the radiator guard. Install hood (8) and panels (4) and (6). (3) Use liners (10) and (11) as a guide to put marks on the front side of the firewall at the locations shown. Weld four 8D3508 Bosses (12) in position on the marks with 3.0 (.12") fillet welds. Put liners (10) and (11) on bosses (12) and install S509 Bolts (13) 5P1075 Washers and 314433 Washers. (4) Remove grill (13) and radiator guard (14). These parts will not be needed again.
