System Operation Description:The event code, 3576-15 for generator to utility transfer failure that is high - least severe (1) will become active when both of the following occur:
The system is attempting to transfer to utility power.
The "generator to utility transfer failure warning event threshold" timer expires before the transfer is successful. The event threshold set point is used to configure the time the system is allowed to attempt a transfer from generator to utility before the system stops and transfers back to generator power. The timer starts the moment the generator breaker is opened and stops when the utility breaker is read back as "closed". This set point will determine the amount of time the bus will be unpowered in the event that a transfer to utility power fails. The event must be reset once the event becomes active. When the event is active, the system will not attempt to transfer to utility until the event is reset.
View active and logged diagnostic codes to determine if there are any other diagnostics that may indicate a problem with the system which may lead to a transfer failure.
Verify EMCP set point for "generator to utility transfer failure" warning event timer limits. Ensure that the timer is set to the appropriate time allotted to complete system transfer.
Wiring: Inspect system wiring for intermittent open circuits and high resistance, loose connections, and shorts to ground between the EMCP relay output. The EMCP relay output is designated for utility breaker control to the utility breaker.Test Step 1. Check the Wiring Harness for an Open Circuit or a Short Circuit to Ground
Disconnect battery power from the engine.
Disconnect the wiring harness from the EMCP and Utility Breaker.
Measure the resistance of the wiring between the designated relay or digital output and the utility breaker or utility breaker control device. If more than 10 ohms of resistance is found, there is an open circuit or bad connection. Repair or replace the wiring. If less than 10 ohms of resistance is found, measure the battery voltage at the EMCP relay or digital output pin, and utility breaker connection point. If battery power is found at both points, there may be a problem with the utility breaker. If battery power is not present at the utility breaker but present at the EMCP, repair or replace the wiring between the EMCP and breaker connections. Results:
- STOP
