Personal injury can result from hot oil or hot components.At operating temperature, oil is hot and under pressure. Hot oil can cause burns.Remove the fill cap only when the engine is stopped, and the fill cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand.Do not allow hot oil or components to contact skin.
In order to prevent possible personal injury, release the air pressure from the air tank before disconnecting any components of the air system.
The space between the body and the frame becomes a zero clearance area when the body is lowered. Failure to install the retaining cable can result in injury or death to personnel working in this area.
If equipped with a sound suppression arrangement, refer to Special Instruction, "Installation of 384-3840 Sound Suppression Panel Gp (LH) (If Equipped)", Special Instruction, "Installation of 361-2001 Sound Suppression Panel Gp (Center) (If Equipped) ", and Special Instruction, "Installation of 361-2020 Sound Suppression Panel Gp (RH) (If Equipped)" for specific panel locations and the correct removal or installation procedure.

Disconnect harness assembly (3). Remove clips (4).

Disconnect harness assembly (5) and cable assembly (6) .

Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device onto cowling (7). The weight of cowling (7) is approximately 504 kg (1110 lb).

Remove bolts (8) .

Remove bolts (9). Repeat this step for the opposite side.

Pull hose assembly (10) from the cowling.

Remove cowling (7) .Installation Procedure
Install cowling (7) in the reverse order of removal.
