Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Tools and Shop Products Guide" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

Install plates (19) and Tooling (A) to radiator (17) with bolts (20) .

Attach a suitable lifting device to Tooling (A). The weight of radiator (17) is approximately 25 kg (55 lb).
Install radiator (17) .
Install bolts (18) .
Remove Tooling (A) .

Connect hoses (16) .

Install fan spacer (15), fan (13), and fan shroud (5) .
Install bolts (14) .

Install plate (12) and bracket (11) .
Install bolts (10) .
Repeat Steps 9 and 10 for the opposite side.

Place fan shroud (5) into position.
Tighten V-belts (8). Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Belts - Inspect/Adjust/Replace".
Connect hose (9) .

Install bolts (7) to fan shroud (5) .
Install lower fan guard (6) and upper fan guard (6A) .
Install bolts (4) .

Install overflow tank (3) .
Install bolts (2) .
Connect hose assemblies (1) .
Fill the cooling system. Refer to Operation and maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant (ELC) - Change" and Operation and maintenance Manual, "Capacities (Refill)".End By: Install the hood. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Hood - Install".
