Information:
6. Connect the two hoses for the moldboard cylinders on the right side of the machine. 7. Connect the two hoses for the cutter door cylinder on the left side of the machine. 8. Connect and secure the hose in the back of the cutter spray bar water system pressure control valve.Steering Indicator Installation
The steering indicator is used to give the operator a reference to steer by during the cutting operation. The support arm (3) mounts in a bracket (2) on the front track guard (1) and can be slid in or out to position the vertical rod (4). The rod runs through the support arm and can be moved up or down as needed. The rod may be positioned pointing upward during non-operational machine travel to avoid possible damage.Grade Sensing Wheel and Sensor Installation
1. Position the machine on level grade with the cutter lowered onto the grade and both engines stopped.
Move the cutter switch to OFF and stop engine A (cutter drive engine) before working on the cutter. Serious injuries can result from inadvertent starting of the cutter.
2. Bolt the slide tube mounting bracket (1) to the cutter housing with the flanges to the outside of the housing.3. Position the slide tube mount (2) and install the bolt that holds the slide tube mount in the slide tube mounting bracket.4. Bolt the swivel caster (7) to the bracket (5), slide the rod holder (6) onto the bracket, and install the wand guide (8) in the rod holder.5. Position the bracket near the slide tube mount, with the wand guide toward the front of the machine, slide the slide tube (4) onto the bracket, then bolt the slide tube to the slide tube mount.6. Slide the crank mounting bracket (3) into the collar in the slide tube, insert the wand (9) through the wand guide, and tighten the setscrew.Averaging Ski Installation (If Equipped)
1. Install the beam mounting bracket (1) on the track yoke and slide a retainer (2) onto the bracket.2. Lift the beam (3) into position and slide the end onto the beam mounting bracket.3. Slide the beam guide (4) onto the beam from the front and bolt the beam guide to the mainframe.4. Center the beam in the guide, slide a second retainer onto the beam mounting bracket, move both retainers lightly against the beam, then tighten the setscrews in the retainers.5. Install the swivel casters (14) on the channel (15) and the channel on the strut arm (13).6. Position the strut (9) near the front of the beam and install the support brackets (12).7. Slide the sensor arm (7) into the sensor mount (6), then slide the crank mounting bracket (5) into the collar in the sensor arm.8. Install the feeler rod (8) on the beam and the wand guide (10) on the feeler rod, then insert the wand (11) through the wand guide.Cross Slope Sensor Calibration Check
The cross slope sensor is a precision instrument that is accurately calibrated at the factory. Do not adjust or
