Information:

A. Vibratory Pump
1. The gear-type, two-stage pump is under the operator's platform. The intake port is on top; the two output ports are at the bottom. The larger of the two output lines is the primary one. At an engine speed of 2100 rpm, the pump develops 2500 psi (17,237 kPa) and a total flow of 26 gpm (98 lpm). Primary flow is 19 gpm (72 lpm), secondary flow 7 gpm (26 lpm).B. Vibratory Control Valve Package
1. The vibratory control valve package is on a mounting plate bolted to the steering pivot housing. This package has two solenoid valves, each with its own function. A two-position solenoid valve matches the flow of hydraulic fluid to the vibratory motor with the amplitude setting; a three-position solenoid valve routes hydraulic fluid to the vibratory motor so the eccentric weight assembly always rotates in a direction opposite to the direction in which the drum is rolling. There is also a 2500 psi (17,237 kPa) system relief valve and a 3 psi (21 kPa) check valve in the package.C. Vibratory Motor
1. The gear-type vibratory motor is on the left side of the drum. At an engine speed of 2100 rpm it develops 2100 psi (14,479 kPa) and a flow of 19 to 26 gpm (72 to 98 lpm) depending on the amplitude setting.D. Directional Microswitch
1. The directional microswitch under the instrument panel reacts to movement of the propulsion control lever, thus actuating the three-position solenoid valve within the vibratory control valve package.E. Amplitude Microswitch
1. The amplitude microswitch on the right end of the drum reacts to the setting of the amplitude control rod. Whether this microswitch is on or off determines the action of the two-position solenoid valve within the vibratory control valve package.F. Vibratory System Switch
1. The vibratory system toggle switch on the instrument panel opens or closes the overall vibratory system electrical circuit, turning the system off or on.
