PARTS DISPOSITION

Rework Procedure
Cleaning
1) Remove covers from under cab, both left and right.
2) Remove remote condenser unit from machine. Refer to KENR6017 for a detailed removal and installation procedure. The use of 226-2380 Lifting Bracket As. and 271-2769 Lift Adapter As. service tools optional. Refer to the following steps:
a. Prior to disconnecting the refrigerant lines the refrigerant must be recovered per SENR5664. Disconnect refrigerant lines (2 total). Care must be taken while disconnecting the 2 lines located above the core to not damage the fins.
b. Cap all open refrigerant lines.
c. Disconnect electrical connections from both fans.
d. Remove condensate drain lines from fan shroud.
e. Remove the first 2 M12 bolts from the left side of the machine. There are a total of 6 that secure the unit to the machine (4 on the left and 2 on the right).
f. Partially insert service tool and remove the remaining 2 M12 bolts from the left side. Make sure that the service tool is ready to support the weight of the unit. Use the fastener provided with service tool 271-2769 Lift Adapter As. to secure unit to service tool.
g. Remove the 2 remaining M12 fasteners from the right side of machine.
h. The unit must be extracted out the left side.
3) Remove the fans from the remote condenser core.
4) Follow standard procedures for cleaning cores:
a. To ensure a thorough cleaning, pressure wash in the direction of airflow.
b. A degreasing additive may be applied to aid in cleaning, but must not contain ammonia.
c. It is imperative when using a pressure washer that the nozzle is no closer to the core than 18 inches, any closer and damage may be incurred. It is also imperative that the nozzle be at a right angle to the core or the fins may get damaged.
Tube Wrapping
5) With the condenser removed and cleaned, use 5P-7070 Insulation Strip to cover the entire copper tube from the dryer to the evaporator inlet. Also, use the 5P-7070 Insulation Strip to cover the copper tube from the evaporator outlet to the point where the tube drops below the height of the condenser sheet metal. Refer to Image1.5.1 and Image1.5.2.

6) Remove the drain lines from the HVAC housing and add some 5P-7070 Insulation Strip inside the 267-5032 Condensate Grommet to improve the seal around the plastic housing. Replace the 257-3227 Dryer and seals.
7) Remove the hose clamps from the drain lines and replace them with a 3S-2093 Strap and tighten down around the 267-5032 Grommet Nipple. Refer to Image1.7.1.

8) Reconnect the condensate drain lines and mount the condenser back into place.
9) With the fittings connected to the cab, check the system for any leaks.
10) Add some 5P-7070 Insulation Strip around both fittings and make sure they are completely covered. Refer to Image1.10.1.

11) Replace covers from under the cab.
12) Recharge system with 5.0 lbs (2.3kg) of refrigerant.
