Procedure to Remove Wear Sleeves:
1. Install the correct ring in the space where the seal was removed.2. For all engines, except the 3406 and 3408 Engines with a Brakesaver, use the 5P7312 Distorter. For the 3406 and 3408 Engines with a Brakesaver, use the 5P7409 Distorter. Use a .50" (12.7 mm) socket and a ratchet with the distorter. Put the end of the distorter in the space where the seal was removed. Turn the distorter to distort (bend) the sleeve. Move the distorter to another position and turn the distorter again. Do this procedure until the sleeve is loose.
