Information:
cycle times will vary as a result of the following conditions: Condition of the different hydraulic components, hydraulic oil temperature and operationThe oil in the hydraulic system must be SAE 10 in order to obtain accurate test results. Also, the oil in the hydraulic system must be at an operating temperature of 38° to 65°C (100° to 149°F).Use the following procedure to check the cycle times for the lift cylinders.
Enter the machine.
Fasten the seat belt.
Start the engine and increase the engine speed to HIGH IDLE.
Raise the blade off the ground.
Operate the dozer blade control in order to warm up the hydraulic oil to the operating temperature.
Level the blade and lower the blade to the ground.
Ensure that the ripper is lowered to the ground.
Determine the amount of time that is required to fully raise the ripper from the ground. Record this value onto the troubleshooting worksheets. Refer to System Operation, Testing and Adjusting, "Worksheet - Troubleshoot".The amount of time that is required to fully raise the ripper from the ground should be 1.2 0.2 seconds.
Lower the ripper to the ground.
Lower the engine speed to LOW IDLE.
Stop the engine and exit the machine. If the cycle times are not within the specification, check the following items:
The makeup valve in the control valve
The condition of the valve spool in the control valve
The piston seals in the cylinders
