Remove the rear axle shafts.
Remove the front trunnion support.

Position oscillating axle assembly (1) onto suitable cribbing with the differential pinion in the UPWARD position.

Remove tube assembly (2) and fitting (3).

Remove bolts (5) and the washers from differential and bevel gear (4).

Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to differential and bevel gear (4). The weight of differential and bevel gear (4) is approximately 385 kg (850 lb).
Install two bolts (5). Use bolts (5) as forcing bolts in order to force differential and bevel gear (4) from the oscillating axle assembly.
Use Tooling (A) and the suitable lifting device in order to remove differential and bevel gear (4).

Remove O-ring seal (6) from differential and bevel gear (4). Installation Procedure
Install differential and bevel gear (4) in the reverse order of removal.
Tighten the bolts that were removed for Tooling (A) to a torque of 105 20 N m (77 15 lb ft) plus an additional 120° 10°.
Tighten bolts (5) to a torque of 230 40 N m (170 30 lb ft) plus an additional 120° 10°.
