Component Code(s) 7051SUBJECT: DRAIN HOLE ALLOWS WATER TO DRAIN FROM THE FRAME ASSEMBLY OF THE 797 OFF-HIGHWAY TRUCK
PROBLEM:
Water is entering the frame assembly through the front struts and collecting in the bottom of the frame assembly at the steering casting.
SOLUTION:

A drain hole should be drilled in bottom of the 148-9180 Frame Assembly at the lowest point. This will allow the water to drain out of the frame assembly. Refer to Illustration 1 for the area of the 148-9180 Frame Assembly that is the lowest point.

Refer to Illustration 2 for the correct location and size of the hole that is to be drilled. If the hole should become clogged with debris, use a screwdriver or some other object to clear the hole.
