Removal Procedure
Start By:
Turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF Position.
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Disconnect harness assembly (1).
Remove oxygen sensor (2) from exhaust tube assembly (3).
Remove sealing washer (4) from the oxygen sensor. Installation Procedure

Install a new sealing washer (4) (not shown) to oxygen sensor (2).
Apply Tooling (A) to the threads of oxygen sensor (4) (not shown).
Install oxygen sensor (2) to exhaust tube assembly (3). Tighten the oxygen sensor to a torque of 50 N m (37 lb ft).
Connect harness assembly (1). End By:
Turn the battery disconnect switch to the ON Position.
When a new oxygen sensor is installed, it will be necessary to use the Electronic Service Tool (EST) in order to perform the "Lambda Sensor Replacement Reset", "Lambda Sensor Learn Reset" and "Lambda Sensor Temperature Learn Reset" procedures.
