(1) Engine Control Panel without Annunciator (2) Engine Control Panel with AnnunciatorThe engine control panel (ECP) is a monitoring system and the ECP is a protection system for the engine. The ECP is used on 3600 engines. The ECP monitors the condition of the engine. If a condition is out of range, the ECP will activate an alarm or the ECP will perform a shutdown on the engine.There are three levels of protection that are available:
Minimal
Complete
MaximumEach level of protection can be ordered with an annunciator. The annunciator is built into the ECP. The annunciator consists of a number of indicators for each condition that can exist. When a condition is out of range, the ECP will illuminate the indicator for that condition.ReferenceTable 1 describes the protection that is available for shutdowns for each level. Table 2 describes the protection that is available for alarms for each level.
