Change Filter
The transmission filter is located under the right side of the machine near the transmission. 1. Use a strap-type wrench or a cross bar to remove the filter housing.2. Remove and discard the used element.3. Clean the filter housing with a clean, nonflammable solvent.4. Clean the housing base.5. Insert a new filter element into the filter housing.6. Inspect the filter housing seal. Replace the seal, if it is damaged.7. Install the filter housing into the housing base.8. Start the engine. Apply the service brake. Use the right brake pedal only.9. Slowly operate the transmission controls to circulate the transmission oil.10. Move the transmission control lever into NEUTRAL. Engage the parking brake. Inspect for leaks. 11. Maintain the oil between the marks on the low idle side of the dipstick/fill cap with the transmission in neutral. Add oil if necessary.12. Stop the engine.Hydraulic Oil System
Change Filter
1. Remove the oil fill cap slowly to relieve the tank pressure before changing the filter. 2. Loosen the filter housing cover retaining bolt. Remove the filter cover.3. Inspect the cover seal. Replace if necessary.4. Remove and discard the two filter elements.5. Remove the screen. Wash screen in clean, nonflammable solvent. Dry the screen.6. Install the screen and two new filter elements.7. Install the cover. Tighten the cover retaining bolt to 56 3 N m (41 2 lb ft). 8. Maintain the hydraulic oil level above the ADD COLD mark in the sight gauge.9. Inspect the fill cap gasket. Replace the gasket, if damaged. Install the oil fill cap.Fuel System
Clean and Change Filters
Do not fill fuel filters with fuel before installing them. Contaminated fuel will cause accelerated wear to fuel system parts.
Wash the Primary Filter Element
1. Open the access door on the right side of the machine. 2. Loosen the filter housing retaining bolt.3. Remove the housing and element.4. Remove the element from the case.5. Wash the element and housing in clean, nonflammable solvent.6. Dry the element using pressure air.7. Clean the filter case base.8. Inspect the seal. Replace if damaged.9. Insert the clean element.10. Install the element and case into housing.11. Retighten the retaining bolt to a torque of 24 4 N m (18 3 lb ft).12. Close the access door.Change Secondary Fuel Filter
1. Open the access door located on the right side of the machine. 2. Remove and discard the filter.3. Clean the filter mounting base. Be sure all of the old seal is removed.4. Coat the seal of a new filter with clean diesel fuel.5. Install the new filter by hand. When the seal contacts the base, tighten three-quarter of a turn more.There are rotation-index marks 90° apart on the filter. Use them as a guide for proper tightening.6. Prime the fuel system.
