Information:

1. Disconnect automatic lubrication system supply line (1) from the bucket auto lube manifold. DO NOT lose the 6V-8398 Seal from fitting. 2. Disconnect automatic lubrication source supply 7I-5745 Hose Assembly (2). Connect a lubricant source to supply hose assembly (2) and pump in grease until all the air is removed and grease exits supply hose assembly (1) at the bucket end of the system. DO NOT lose the 6V-8398 Seal from fitting.3. Reconnect supply hose assemblies (1) and (2). 4. Remove lubricant injector manual lubrication port cap (3) and manually inject grease until grease flows out of the respective bearing. Install the cap.5. Repeat step 4 for each of the 44 automatic lubrication injectors.6. Start the engine and cycle all machine functions, then enter LUBM into the Vital Information Management System (VIMS) to perform a manual lubricant cycle.Hydraulic Cylinder Start-Up Procedure
To prevent compression detonation of the trapped oil and air mixture in the hydraulic cylinders, the cylinders must be cycled as slowly as possible to purge all trapped air from cylinders. Use the following procedure to purge the cylinders and prevent damage to the piston and piston seals.
Initial cycling of cylinders must be done at low idle (turtle). Hydraulic system must not go to relief.Do not allow rods to bottom-out during the first two extensions and retractions.Do not make sudden reversals in direction of cylinder stroke during the first 10 cycles. Allow at least 4 seconds between changing the direction of cylinder stroke.
1. Start the machine and turn the engine throttle switch to turtle (low idle) position.2. For two cycles, SLOWLY cycle (extend and retract) hydraulic cylinders through 1/2 to 3/4 of a full stroke. The cylinders must not bottom out. Wait a minimum of 4 seconds before reversing direction of cylinder travel.3. For an additional eight cycles, SLOWLY cycle the cylinder through the full stroke. Wait a minimum of four seconds before reversing direction of cylinder travel.4. After all cylinders have been cycled at low idle a minimum of ten times, the machine can be operated with the engine at high idle.Track Roller Break-in Procedure
The following procedure provides a break-in period for the track and carrier rollers, cycles the machine systems, check for leaks, and checks general machine operation.1. The roller temperature shall be taken before travaling the machine and every ten minutes during the procedure. Travel the machine in the over the sprocket (reverse) direction for twenty minutes, checking the temperature at ten and twenty minutes. Stop and check temperatures of each track and carrier roller with the 1U8865 Infrared Thermometer. Check rollers for oil leakage.2. Allow the rollers to cool for 20 minutes, checking the temperature at ten and twenty minutes.3. Travel the machine in the over the idler (forward) direction for twenty minutes, checking the temperature at ten and twenty minutes. Stop and check temperatures of each track and carrier roller with the 1U8865 Infrared Thermometer. Check rollers for oil leakage.Hydraulic System Checks Before Delivery of the Excavator
